Your susu circle.
Now with a
memory for trust.
SusuTrust runs the rotational savings group you already know — over USSD, on any phone — with Ghana Card verification, automatic Mobile Money collections, and a TrustScore that decides who gets paid first.
GH₵50 added to Kotoko Traders' pot. TrustScore +2.
How SusuTrust Works
The exact same rotational savings your family has always used — just verified and automated.
Register once
Enter your Ghana Card number and Mobile Money wallet. We confirm the account name matches before you save a cedi.
Create or join a circle
Set your contribution amount, frequency and group size — get a 4-digit code to share. Or join a friend's group with theirs.
Contribute, your way
Choose Automatic — we send a MoMo prompt on schedule — or Manual if you'd rather pay it yourself.
Get paid, in order
Each round, the group's pot is sent straight to one member's wallet — priority decided by TrustScore, not guesswork.
The TrustScore Engine
Every member starts at 100 points. Your payment history — not who shouted loudest at the meeting — decides who gets paid next.
Ties are broken by who joined the group first — first come, first served.
The Payout Guarantee
Getting paid early doesn't mean walking away from what you still owe. Part of every payout is held back as collateral — sized to how many rounds are left, never a flat cut.
Early in the cycle you still owe most of your future contributions, so the held share sits near the ceiling.
Near the end of the cycle you owe almost nothing further, so nearly all of your payout reaches your wallet right away.
Held, not lost
Your held balance shrinks automatically every time you complete another round — always sized to what you still owe, never a flat cut.
Released as you pay
Each confirmed contribution after your payout recalculates what's still required and sends any excess straight to your MoMo wallet.
Protects the group
If a member defaults after being paid out, their held balance returns to the group pot instead of leaving everyone else short.
Built to never lose track of your money
No leader has to remember who paid, who's next, or chase anyone down.
Reminders, right on time
Automatic SMS reminders go out at 9am and 5pm, matched to whether your group is daily, weekly or monthly.
A receipt for everything
Every contribution, payout, and status change is logged to an audit trail — nothing happens off the record.
Payments that get checked twice
If a payment confirmation ever goes missing, our reconciliation system flags it and follows up — automatically.
A dashboard for the leader
Group leaders can push reminders, view the member list, and close out a completed cycle — right from the same dial code.
Automatic or manual, your call
Let SusuTrust request your Mobile Money PIN on schedule, or keep full control and pay in yourself each round.
Built for every phone
USSD works on the most basic Nokia and the newest smartphone alike — no app, no data bundle, no barrier.
We never touch your PIN. We always verify who you are.
Susu groups fail on trust, not math.
The traditional model works because neighbours trust each other. SusuTrust doesn't replace that trust — it backs it up with identity checks, a public payment record, and a score that makes reliability visible to the whole group.
Almost every cedi you save, stays saved
SusuTrust charges just a small 1% fee on each contribution — nothing else, ever.
- Unlimited groups & members (2–50 per circle)
- Full Ghana Card verification
- Automatic or manual MoMo collections
- TrustScore-based payout protection
- SMS confirmation for every transaction
Common Questions
Do I need a smartphone or internet to use SusuTrust?
No. SusuTrust runs entirely over USSD — the same code-dialling menus you use to check your MoMo balance. It works on any phone, on any of the supported networks, with zero data.
What happens if I miss a contribution?
If you haven't paid for the round yet, a daily check flags it and your TrustScore drops by 5 points. If a scheduled automatic collection actually fails, that's a steeper 10-point drop, and you and your group leader are notified immediately by SMS. Fall below 70 and you're automatically removed from the circle so the rest of the group isn't put at risk.
If I get paid out early, do I still have to keep contributing?
Yes — and a portion of your payout is held back as a guarantee until you do. How much is held depends on how many rounds you have left: getting paid out early in the cycle holds back more, getting paid out near the end holds back very little. The held amount shrinks automatically and pays out to your wallet as you keep contributing.
Who decides the order people get paid in?
Your TrustScore does. Members with a higher score from consistent, on-time payments are prioritised for payout. If two members are tied, whoever joined the group first goes first.
Can I choose to pay manually instead of automatic deductions?
Yes. When you join a group you choose Automatic (SusuTrust requests your MoMo PIN on schedule) or Manual (you dial in and pay it yourself each round) — you're not locked into one style.
Which mobile networks are supported?
MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash, and AirtelTigo Money are all supported for both contributions and payouts.
